CPJH News Update - September 17th, 2018

Hello Clayton Park Junior High Families,

Lockdown Drill:

Curriculum Night:

Curriculum Night will take place on Thursday September 27th from 6:30 – 8pm. Parents and Guardians are invited to gather in the gymnasium beginning at 6:30pm where you will be introduced to the teaching staff. Following this, parents and guardians are invited to visit classrooms to discuss curriculum outlines with teachers.

Orange Shirt Day:

HRCE will be honoring Orange Shirt Day on September 27 th, the last school day for students of the month. This is an opportunity for all staff and students to increase their awareness about the thousands of Indigenous children across Canada who were forced from their homes to attend residential schools. Acknowledging this day provides an active invitation from our region to participate in reconciliation. Staff and students are encouraged to wear orange shirts on this day.

Professional Development Day for staff:

Professional Development Day for staff will be taking place on Friday September 28th. During this day staff will be working on Students Success Plan Goals that align with curriculum development within the classrooms. There will be no school for students on this day.

Regards,
