Bell Changes for 202-2021 School Year

Hello Clayton Park Families,

I hope that this message finds everyone to be well and safe. We want our families and students
to know that the staff of Clayton Park is thinking of you and hoping that you are doing as well as
possible. We miss seeing the students in the halls and in the classrooms. We know how difficult
this is for the students and families. We are all in this together and we will get through this
together. The staff put together a video for the students to let them know how much we miss
them. The link is; CPJH - We've got this! https://youtu.be/Urxt4LVb7PQ. We hope they enjoy
it!

If students are feeling overwhelmed or frustrated by schoolwork, please reach out to the teacher,
Vice Principal or Principal so that we can help to create a plan for success.
If students are feeling sad, lonely, or stressed, please contact our Guidance Counselor Ms.

Bell Changes for 202-2021 School Year
The HRCE Transportation Team has been working on improving efficiencies in bus routing for
the fall to ensure that eligible busing students arrive to class on time. To support these
improvements, our bell times will be changing for 2020 – 2021 school year.

Clayton Park Junior High new bell time will start at 9:20 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m. Next year,
lunchtime will be from 12:20 to 1:10 p.m. Instructional time begins at 9:20 a.m. and 1:20 p.m.
Students will enter the building at 9:10 a.m. for morning classes and 1:10 p.m. for afternoon
classes.

This bell change will be of benefit, as it will allow us to adopt a more efficient schedule for ideal
arrival and departure times for all schools across the region.
These changes are necessary to ensure that eligible busing students arrive to class on time and we
maximize our available learning times for all students.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me for clarification.

We hope everyone is staying home, washing your hands so we can be together again soon. For
those of you, students, siblings and parents, who are essential services, thank you!

Sincerely,
Trina Canavan – Principal
