Clayton Park Junior High

Alert Home - November 1

Good Evening Clayton Park Junior High Families,

Over the past couple of months the staff at CPJH have been amazed at the students and their academics and how well they are demonstrating leadership, and citizenship within their classrooms, school and community.  The staff at CPJH is very student oriented and are focused on student learning while creating a culture of leadership and opportunities for students through clubs, activities and extra curricular.

Throughout the school year the school will be communicating via e-mail upcoming reminders and other important information that we need to communicate to families.  Also, the school will be sending out a “What’s Happening at CPJH - Information from teachers on outcomes and lessons they are teaching in the classroom.” The information is from teachers pertaining to outcomes and lessons they are doing in classrooms.  It will also feature the schools Student of the Month award recipients.  The first “What’s Happening at CPJH” will be sent to families on Friday November 2nd.  This first addition will feature our students of the month for October and November.

Fun Run

Thank you to all the students, parents and community members for making the Schools Annual Fun Run a success.  The students fundraising efforts were remarkable and will go towards extracurricular activities, technology, classroom resources, clubs, and performances.  The school spirit during the day of the fun run was remarkable as, the school and students came together to cheer everyone one as, they ran and walked the 5k around the school community.  Students clapped as, each student and staff completed the route and entered the gymnasium.  True school spirit, leadership and citizenship was demonstrated by all our students during this day.  Well-done Wildcats!

YMCA Newcomer Orientation Night

The YMCA and CPJH will be hosting an Orientation Night for families new to Canada that attend Clayton Park Junior High and Duc d’Anville.  This will be taking place on November 7th beginning at 4:15pm in the library at Clayton Park Junior High.
